If you can solder, consider building your own cables and pedals. A good place for pedal kits is Build Your Own Clone, where you can purchase complete kits and instructions for copies of quite a few popular stompboxes. Check out this Rat Clone and this Big Muff Clone. If you’re feeling ambitious, re-house or repair your old pedals with parts from Pedal Parts Plus or Small Bear Electronics. Need cable parts? Try Redco. Here’s a soldering tutorial.

Welcome to Bounce to Disk. This site strives to be a valuable resource for hobbyist/semi-pro recording engineers working primarily in the computer domain. Expect helpful original content, links to technical and creative articles elsewhere on the web, and interviews with veterans and innovators in the field. Inspired by recording message boards all over the web and excellent print magazines like Tape Op, we hope to distinguish ourselves with quality interactive content that is best delivered via the internet.
